Announcement and
Call for Papers
Overview
Hack.in 2009, the 3rd Hackers'
Workshop, aims to bring together researchers, practitioners,
programmers, administrators, professionals and others interested in the
security of computer systems and networks. Hack.in 2009 is primarily a
systems security workshop and will focus on the design and
implementations of security systems including protocols and case
studies. The workshop shall be held over three days during March 17-19,
2009, at IIT Kanpur, Kanpur, India and shall consist of contributed
papers, invited talks, workshops and panel discussions. Researchers and
professionals are encouraged to submit papers covering novel ideas or
significant practical works in the field of computer and network
security.
Submissions are due by December
31,
2008.

Refereed paper submissions are
solicited in all areas relating to computer systems and network
security, including but not limited to:

Paper submission
guidelines
Papers are due by December 31, 2008.
All submissions must be made online through workshop website.
Submissions must be in Portable Document Format (PDF). Papers including
abstract, bibliography and appendices should not exceed a maximum of 8
pages, formatted in 2 columns and typeset as per IEEE conference style.
All submissions will be judged on
originality, relevance, correctness, completeness and clarity.
Unauthorized submission of previously published work and those amounting
to plagiarism are liable to be summarily rejected. Program committee may
take harsh action against the respective authors including publicizing
their cases on the workshop website.

Papers accompanied by nondisclosure
forms shall not be considered. All submissions are treated as
confidential.
Refereed papers and
Awards
Papers that have been formally
reviewed and accepted will be presented during the workshop and
published in the workshop proceedings. It is expected that one of the
paper authors shall attend the workshop and present the work. One best
paper award will be given at the workshop based on the reviewer's
comments.
Workshop
proceedings
The proceedings of the workshop will
be distributed to all attendees and participants and will be made freely
available online after the workshop.
Invited Talks,
Workshops and Panel Discussions
In addition to the presentation of
refereed papers, the technical program of the workshop includes invited
talks, workshops and panel discussions. You are invited to make
suggestions regarding topics or speakers in any of these sessions.
